Best Maiden tune EVER!!!!!!!

I can remember getting this on a cassette, at the time i hadnt really heard much Iron Maiden stuff but being into art, i found the covers to be really amazing and loved all the Tshirts i used to see people knocking around in so i bought the tape.

What a great album!!

Not one bad track on side 1, i turned the cassette over and OH MY GOD!!!

What the hell was that drummer doing?!!!

His hands must be like lightning!

I am talking about Maidens first drummer, Clive Burr, nothing against Nicko but this man is a genius!

i can remember sitting in my room trying to "Air Drum" with some chopsticks and had no chance of keeping up, bloody phenominal!

Those of you who have never heard it before, firstly why not? and secondly get on it now!

Nice to have a fellow Maiden fan on 'ere!

I totally agree with what u said re Clive Burr, the man was a God to drums and drumming. Nicko is a legend in his own right just for being Nicko but the Maiden sound was really defined by Harris, Murray and Burr.

Not sure I totally agree with you re the disaster that was Blaze Bayley - I always liked Wolfsbane and thought it was the next step up for him...but he was onto a hiding to nothing, bit like when Jason Newsted followed Cliff Burton in Metallica! I did like Blaze on "Man on the Edge", but only cos "Falling Down" is one of my favourite films!

You guys might hate me for this right in the middle of an Iron Maiden debate, lol... but there's a drummer travis barker; the links below he looks pretty keen to me. You might say he's just an apprentice to the guys mentioned below but then there's always Cosy Powell... errrrr.. or am I just showing my age!!

I concur man, Clive Burr was/is a legend! I remember when I first heard this was when I sneaked the record out of my brothers room and listened to it in the living room with my dads headphones on. I was converted and marked for life :)
