I have a cousin, well, i have about a hundred or so, but this one in particular is Adam, he's roughly three and a half years younger than myself but shares my passion for music.I have been known to influence him a lot over the past 17- 18 years or so, through various bands and albums, i spent a lot of time when he was about twelve trying to get him off the PUNK scene and into the METAL. After an hour in a record shop in Winsford called Sphere, i managed to get the kid into IRON MAIDEN. (The shop had an old red phone box in it so you could listen to an album, everywhere just has headphones now though). We spent a lot of time after that listening to metal, swaping records, T-shirts and posters, hanging out and generally checking out all the new stuff that was available. When Adam was fifteen, i took him to a pub in Winsford and got him totalled, my Aunty and Uncle were really pissed off with me and said i was a bad influence and stopped Adam coming round. When he was Seventeen he got a job in icelands on the town center, i went in to do some shopping and there he was, we arranged that he should come round to my place and catch up on the past two years. I gave him a can and he sat on the sofa and cracked it open... "HEY KID!" i said, " IVE BEEN LISTENING TO THIS GREAT NEW BAND, SEE WHAT YOU THINK" i put JEREMY on by PEARL JAM... "NOT BAD MATE!" He said whilst taking off his coat to reveal the PEARL JAM T-shirt he was wearing! HE COULD HAVE TOLD ME... What a great song though! Shame i had to find the alternate video for it.
