Inspired by the drink, love and despair surrounding youth, David writes his songs with a subtle honesty, whilst remaining melodic and easy to relate too. Playing in a handful of local bands in both Sheffield and Newcastle. He decided then to venture away in search of something new and moved to the North West, performing under the name 'David Harbottle'. All of his songs are recorded and produced in the confines of his room on a small multitrack recorder
