The Night Herons have been a cohesive unit for around two years and over this time period they've gigged vigorously around the Leeds and Bradford area boasting slots at Leeds' prestigious Cockpit venue (with an appearance in Room 1) and a slot at the renowned Festivalalala at Bradford's Love Apple. With the unusual quality of having a female singer the Night Herons posses songs which are, as Sandman describes, ''More distinctive in their sound in comparison their peers''' and with the recent experimentation with synthesizers the Night Herons' sound is becoming increasingly unique and distinguishable. With plenty of live experience to hand and memorable gigs to boot (one which entailed arriving at a humble Bradford venue only to find that they'd be going onstage at 11 pm and playing until 1am in a venue which was being set up for a cage fight the following evening) The Night Herons are generating an ever growing reputation and they're emerging as one of the bands to watch out for around Leeds and Bradford.
